Gallery Closed Today

Springs Gallery is closed today, Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, until further notice. There's not much business on these Wintery days anyway, but I have some personal things I need to tend to as well. I hope to open back up soon. Stay tuned to this site for updates. You may also call the gallery phone number, 937-409-5047, and you can leave messages at either location; I will respond. Impromptu Workshop a Hit!

Ten women (high school friends) from all over the U.S. travelled to Yellow Springs this weekend and one of the items on their agenda was an art experience - so, of course, they thought of Springs Gallery. Jewelry teacher Catherine Wicks whipped up a workshop for the group, in true goddess style, and a good time was had by all. The group was comprised of women now living in Cleveland, Chicago and San Francisco. And best of all - the destination (chosen by the group's coordinator, Cara Berg of Cleveland) was a surprise until the last minute. Cara had been to Yellow Springs once before and thought it would be a good destination for a reunion adventure. They stayed at the Glen House, dined at the Emporium and The Winds, and visited many of the shops in town, including Springs Gallery. Thanks, Cara and everyone, for enjoying our little village!

The Goddesses Rule Again!

Our second "Discover the Goddess Within - A Jewelry Workshop" went off today without a hitch. Everyone reports having a good time.

Choosing which pieces to use can be a challenge. There are so many beauties!

Here they all are - with their creative treasures. Did I hear a call for a sequel?

SPRINGS GALLERY WORKSHOP UPDATE

The Goddesses are a go! Our second Discover the Goddess Within jewelry workshop has enough students--but we would love to have more. It's this coming Saturday, 1/21/12, from 2-4 PM, here at the gallery. If you and/or someone you know is interested - please email, call or stop into the gallery today (1/15) or next week Friday or Saturday. Since we know it's a go, we can take new folks up to the time of the workshop. We hope you will join us in this art adventure!

The Silver Art Clay class yesterday was great. Students had fun and produced some beautiful work. Stay tuned for more workshops and classes with Trish, whose work is also available in the gallery.

The 1/18 painting workshop with Mike Elsass is cancelled due to enrollment. If you want to learn from Mike during the Winter you can gather a group and contact his Dayton gallery, the Color of Energy, and set something up with him. In the Spring and/or Summer we will be offering another workshop or two right outside Springs Gallery in Kings Yard. We had 2 last Summer and Fall and they were a blast! If you are interested - email me and I'll add you to my list of prospective students.

Springs Gallery is Closed Friday, January 13th

No, we're not superstitious, but Springs Gallery will not be open tomorrow, Friday the 13th, due to inclement weather. It's supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow. We plan to be open on Saturday, 1/14 though, and our silver art clay jewelry class is still a go. Note to students: As this is a four-hour class, you are welcome to bring lunch and/or snacks and beverages.
