Art Stipend Jobs Available

A woman came into Springs Gallery yesterday looking for an illustrator (or 2) to work on a couple projects she's doing. She has funds available to pay for them. I told her I would pass it along to folks who may be interested. Her name is Alice Hypes and her phone number is 304-343-6001. To learn more about the projects, you can go to

If I hear about any art situations or events like these - jobs, calls for entry, etc. - I will try to pass them on in case you're interested. Enjoy!

Springs in the News!

Pam Dillon did a nice article on Springs Gallery that was in today's Dayton Daily News Life Section. It mentions our upcoming artist reception (Fri., 8/19) for Paula Willmot Kraus. She also did a sidebar (same page) on our upcoming workshops with steel painter Mike Elsass. Here are links to them - check them out!

The Art of Paula Willmot Kraus

Springs Gallery is pleased to present the art of Dayton photographer Paula Willmot Kraus. She is showing a variety of her lovely botanical palladium prints, silver gelatin prints and C-prints, from August through October, 2011. We are hosting an artist reception for her on Friday, August 19, (3rd Friday "Fling in the Springs") from 7 pm - 9 pm. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

The Kraus piece shown here is a palladium print titled "Big/Small Maple Seeds."
