All Sunflowers All the Time! - Sunflower Art at the YS Arts Council

The Yellow Springs Arts Council, at 111 Corry St. in Yellow Springs, is hosting a show of sunflower art - much of it created at a "sunflower paint-out" coordinated by the Tecumseh Land Trust late last year. The owners of the land (the former Whitehall Farm) plant a field of sunflowers every year and entrusted their land to the Tecumseh Land Trust to keep it safe and sound, in perpetuity. That's what they do. For more info. on this great organization, check them out at: http://tecumsehlandtrust.org/.

My photo, above, is of my painting, "Sunflowers 2." The piece is a 20" x 16" oil on canvas. It is a vertical, as shown here, not a horizontal as shown in the current Dayton City Paper. Oh well, I guess there's no such thing as bad publicity. Anyway, I hope you can catch the YSAC show, which runs Sept. 19 - Oct. 11, 2015, with an artists' reception this Sunday, 9/27/15, 2 - 4 PM. It is free and open to the public. Good people will be there, good art will be shown and sold, and good food will be served! P.S. And a good percentage of artwork sales goes to the TLT.
P.P.S. Oh, that's me at that paint-out in the photo on the right!
