Upcoming Show at CAG - Centerville Art Gallery

Under Sea 1, acrylic/mixed media on canvas, 28" x 28", painting and photo by Christine Klinger

The Centerville Arts Commission is pleased to announce the November Art Gallery exhibit will feature “Water Abstracts and Sculpture by Christine Klinger” at the Centerville Police Department, 155 W. Spring Valley Road in Centerville. The exhibit runs from 11/2 through 11/30/18 and may be viewed anytime, day or night. The Centerville Arts Commission will host an artist’s reception 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, November 9 in the gallery to introduce the collection to the community. Light refreshments will be served.

Klinger is a sculptor, painter and photographer. She says the exhibit will show her fascination with water and “how powerful and beautiful it is, how we treat it, take it for granted, and how dependent we are on it – in all its various bodies and forms.”

The former coordinator of Rosewood Gallery in Kettering, Klinger lives in Yellow Springs, where she is a member of the Village Artisans Cooperative Gallery. A painter since 2006, she received an Artist in Residency in painting and photography from the State of South Carolina in 2011. She has written and photographed for publications and exhibited in Ohio, South Carolina and California. Klinger has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Antioch College and a master’s degree in Photojournalism from Ohio University. For more information, please visit www.klingerart.com.
